Was wondering if a person would be able to tell whether the airbags are install in a previously wrecked vehicle, This unit was rearended, the seller cxlaims the airbags did not deploy. There is no powder residue evident, the passenger air bag lite on the dash is on, any thoughts, would a scanner determine this??Anything else to look for? It has 5000 Km on it Thanks in advance

airbags shoukldn't go off in a rear end collision, the forces would put you back in the seat, not forward towards the wheel
The air bag light on is a good thing and normal. It means that the adjustable air bag is working. Depending on their weight of the passenger seat the power that the bag inflates diffrently. The seat belt light right next to it comes on too if someone sits down.
All this is in the owners manual.
Unless you are getting a good price for this vechile, there should be some remaining 2005 stock left at the dealers.
