When I shift from reverse to drive and start going forward (sometimes even before going forward) I hear a "Clunck". It has been doing this for ten years. 1992 SE.
Ever heard of this?

both my sunfire and monte carlo did/does this, I think its a GM transmission thing.
My '92 SE does the same thing. I decided to wait to see if it got worse, but it's been doing it ever since I got it about 4 years ago. I'm over 170,000 so far...
It can happen when backing out of garage and then shifting into drive. Doesn't really happen when coming out of park. Mostly from reverse to drive. spncity
