My daughter has a 97 Grand Am (2.4) that won't start. Turns over fine. Thought it was fuel pump but it wasn't. Not getting any power back to fuel pump when cranking. Also not getting spark. Checked all fuses-OK. Checked Ign Module-OK. Replaced fuel pump relay. Could it be the ignition? Or something else? Help!!

Spud' thanks. How come I'm not getting any power back to the fuel pump?
Same reason your not getting spark -Crank sensor
FP should run for up to 5 secs when key on. Check the FP rail pressure and see or put a light/meter on the FP wires. If the ecm does not sense engine run signals within the sec window, it will turn off the FP.
Spud, replaced crank sensor & camshaft sensor-still won't start. Any ideas?
Have you checked the coil packs to make sure they r working? you may also get a misfire when it does begin to run due to plug wires being wrong or coil packs.
