Does anyone know if the wire harness for the 1997 interior electrochromatic rear view mirror on the Grand Prix is the same for the mirror that has a compass and the one without a compass? I need to replace mine. It does not have the compass, but GM only has the one with a compass still being made. Their price is $239. Any suggestions? Dealership does not know.

Ask around at some other dealers if there are any in stock at some of their local warehouses.
Hard to believe they don't still make a plain electrochromatic mirror without the compass. I think I saw a plain one in an 04 Impala two weeks ago
