How To Lubricate GM Power Window Motor Tracks & Regulators - With Pictures

Aug 19, 2010 2 Replies

I recently had another window regulator break on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. In order to prevent this from happening again, I decided to just take off all four door panels and thoroughly lubricate the window tracks and the regulators.

I took pictures of the process and created a quick guide.

Paul, thanks for another fine article. Your website saved me a lot of grief when I was replacing a seized serpentine belt idler bearing assembly. I was going to reach for a larger wrench but instead went to your website and found out that the bolt was had left hand threads. I'm sure I would have sheared it off if I didn't read your instructions. Thanks again

Hey BR549,

I'm really glad that the guide helped you out. :)

Cheers, Paul
