That's a bit high on the labour. Book time is 6.0 hrs and it can be done quite easily in 2.0 hrs. Providing you have done lots of them, which I have. If you haven't done one before, it can be a little daunting.

I replaced the cap and the problem disapeared.. so far. I figure that the garage noticed it was low on coolant and since there is some stains around the intake manifold just figured they could convince me to replace it and pay them big bucks. I cleaned the engine block that way I can keep an eye on new stains.
