Re: Just hit 100k on my '99 Grand Prix GTP

Wow. Have you had any major work done to the '99 or has it been trouble free, routine maintenance stuff? I have a 2000 GP GT that's not quite halfway to where your at.

I don't know what happened for the first 90k. I bought it used about a year ago. Before I bought it, I took it to a friend of mine who has been a GM mechanic for 30 years and he couldn't find any evidence of problems or previous major repairs. In the year that I've had it, I've done nothing but routine maintenance and it's been running great. I've had the '87 for 11 years and haven't had to put any money into it either. Can't say the same for the '96 Grand Cherokee I had before the '99 GTP.

The GTP's owners manual has the original owner's address in it. I've been thinking about trying to contact him to see if he did anything to it but didn't know if it was ok to do that or not.

Thanks. I doubt I'll get either of them to 200k, like you. But if I do, I guarantee you'll see a post about it.

Your 260k is awesome.
