I am attempting to replace my rear passenger side power window regulator and have run into the problem that no one seems to carry the "rear" regulators. The dealership does of course but they want an arm and both legs. I would like to avoid getting one from salvage due to the problem reoccuring soon. Any ideas out there"
Can you get the motor only, plus some wear parts if appropriate? That's about the only idea I can come up with. You can't expect the aftermarket to provide something cheaply if it's going to be a slow seller. If the motor fits a bunch of different applications it might be available aftermarket.
You might get better answers if you mentioned what the actual problem was on what kind of car. No guarantees, though. The thread might just get hijacked for Iraq, politics, ufo's, speeding tickets, or anything.
