Whats a good procedure for ridding an air-lock? 95 sunfire

Car runs fine, coolant boils out 1-5 minutes after shutting off engine. On a long trip (60 minutes) I notice steam coming from the hood. Tempature gague goes normal. Temp sensor, thermostat and water-pump have all been changed. Fuses and relays checked and found to be OK. Best advice from friends is its just an air-lock that needs working out. Starting to be awhile so either I'm not tackling the problem correctly or it might be something else (warped head) putting extra pressure into the coolant. But as the head-gasket was just changed I want to make sure I've eliminated the simplest problem before going down that road again.

Did you figure it out yet? My car does the same thing - see overheating post - I 'googled' my problem and it still sounds like the head gasket. But you said you changed that so now is it a cracked head? Sorry but read what it says on google and maybe you'll see your options. My car's heater core gave out and it overheated the engine big time - so I guess I have a blown head gasket - parked the car.
