First of all, making fun people during a crisis, disaster is not only cruel, nasty, and hateful but in extremely poor taste.
The recent earthquake has killed over thousand people and has also damaged three out of four nuclear reactors in Japan. The japanese nuclear reactors are built with safety mechanisms similar to all other nuclear power plants around the world - any failure is a not a reflection on the Japanese as much as it is of the current international safety standards for safely developing nuclear power. Any major safety failure in the Japanese Nuclear facilities will have negative international repercussions on the development of nuclear power around the world.
.
If nuclear plants are so safe, build them next door to Bill Gates and the other rich bastards that run and ruin our planet. Then an accident would BENEFIT mankind for a change.
Pal, all that you say is like bragging how unsinkable the Titanic is while it sits at the bottom of the ocean. Wake up.
Passing the buck IS a JOKE.
First of all, making nuclear power plants that create death zones around major urban centers for thousands of years when they fail is in FAR WORSE TASTE.
Nazi Germany: "I was just following orders."
Dubya's Republicans on 9/11: "Who could have imagined this would happen?"
Nuclear engineers: "Let's design nuke plants to just exceed the probability of the highest anticipated earthquake."
EXCUSES aren't worth DIDDLY. It's just PASSING THE BUCK.
If you can't make a nuclear reactor SAFE, don't make it. And you can't make them safe. What do you do with the waste? Use the plant for 30 or 40 years and then seal them up for the next 40,000 years like some Egyptian Pyramid of nuclear crap? How stupid.
