MG ZR 160 exhaust valve

Dec 12, 2004 0 Replies

Hello Group

The rover mgzr160 standard exhaust has twin pipes, one of the pipes has a valve fitted, which according to a website I once came across is supposed to change the sound of the car a 4000rpm. Question:- Does anyone know if the valve should be open or closed when the car is idling? Also it would appear that there is a hose attached and not wires to operate the valve, where does this come from?

Thanks

Don
