could anyone help me find a better deal on a muffler system from the converter to tail pipes? The dealer quoted me almost 1,000.00 for this section . I almost had a heart attack! any help would be appreciated.

Sorry! I live in the USA specifically, Buffalo,NY. By the way, the dealer quoated me $750 for the cat converter. I really LOVE my turbo and want to keep it in great shape. However, this is more than ANY other muffler on any car I have owned. I would buy another Saab, but if replacing parts is this $$$$, then ......
Why does the cat need replacement? What's going on with the rest of it?
nothing is currently wrong with the cat converter. The parts that I am looking for is from behind the converter to the tail pipes. The rest of my 9-5 is mint.
I got mine from eeuroparts.com. (same car)
shipping was free then, showed up in two-three days, fit perfect.
OK, I thought you said they wanted to replace the cat also. So the stainless exhaust rotted out, or what?
