I am in the midst of replacing the lock cylinder and switch on an 89 Saab 900 SPG Turbo. I have the new lock cylinder and switch installed and have re-wired the switch and reverse sensor. When I go to test the ignition, the key won't turn all the way and give the springing action at the end of the turn. It stops at like 3/4 of the way. I did not replace the gears as they looked satisfactory. I mention this b/c, I believe, the gears are not misaligned. The lock cylinder and switch both have notches on em that will only allow for them to be installed one way. Well, the switch can be put in so that the key will not turn at all. Is there any trick to putting in the switch so that it is alligned to spring at the end?
I would appreciate any help.
