does anyone know if there is an easy way to replace it without removing the ENTIRE master cylinder assembly?

What's broken, the ABS or the m/c? The m/c is pretty easy.
M/c is OK. Once in a while there is a continuous (until key is off) or intermittant screeching noise coming from the ABS/Mc area.
