92 9000 T progress...

Happy New Year!

Ever since I replaced the vacuum hose from the TCS to the TCS valve on the firewall it has not quit (or gone into LHM) on me! (fingers still crossed)

Also, finally figuring out that the outside temp sensor from the 93 9000 T is really the one for this car and connecting it, replacing also the burnt-out lights in the EDU under the speedometer was not hard and now the ACC and EDU both work! I followed the instructions in

And it truly can be done in less than 1 hour. No need now to pull ACC codes as there is no longer a fault, but it would be nice to know how to do that.

I also followed the instructions concerning check engine light codes in

formatting link
And it worked as advertised. I used a (US style) 110V standard household light switch as it was large enough to be comfortably hand-held. I also reset the check engine light when I was finished.

Since I fixed the TCS problem I was not particularly interested in the codes present, but it seemed as if there were complaints about the O2 sensor and air/fuel mix too rich. If the light comes back on, I will pay closer attention to the codes.

Still to do is replace o-ring in oil filter mount as it seems to be leaking quite a bit of oil there and figure out how to get the TCS light out. Advice appreciated on these items and on

Rake angle on seat back (it has memory seats and memory does not work) does not work even though both switch and motor work.

Change coolant as soon as I figure out how to get to the plugs in the block without putting the car on a lift.

Thanks for past and future advice!

Most likely the drive cables in the seat bottoms.

Don't bother, the block drains pretty well from the lower rad hose. Just pull out the t-stat and flush the block out fully. Then, when refilling, add the correct amount of antifreeze first followed by water. Fill the expansion reservoir with 50/50 mix last.
