alternator terminals

This is for a 1986 9000 Turbo with a Bosch alternator.

My battery wasn't charging so I pulled my alternator. After checking the brushes it was obvious they needed to be replaced. I did that and was in the process of putting it back in when I noticed one of the wires that was attached to it had broken and was laying on the ground. It was the wire with a push on terminal that went to the terminal marked "+" on the alternator. The wires that go to the B+ and D+ terminals are still intact. The wiring diagram I have doesn't show that terminal. It only shows ground B+ and D+. Does anyone know what the wire coming from the + terminal should be connected to?

Thanks.

It might not be the same in a 1986 C900, but in the C900's the B+ terminal connects to terminal 30 of the starter motor, and terminal D+ connects to one leg of the charging lamp in the instrument cluster via one of the pins in 29-pin connector 152C.

The charging system diagram doesn't make any reference to the '+' terminal on the alternator.

Craig.
