I can't see paying the dealer or SAAB $92.00 US for the cable to connect an external high power amplifier to my Audio 2 head unit in my 2000 9-3 Convertible. Looking for the cheapest sources other than making the cable myself a-la SAABNET. Any suggestions TIA.

My suggestion would be that after paying $20K or more for a car that you should not be too concerned about $92 :-
...but you might try crutchfield.com. They usually have that sort of stuff and know what fits what. Excellent company.
