Antifreeze on floor, gas smell

Sep 27, 2004 2 Replies

Have two problems with my '93 900: I found antifreeze on the floor of the front passenger compartment and a gas smell especially after the tank is filled. The car was involved in an accident earlier in the year and these problems occurred since. The Saab Site mentioned a heater valve in the dash and improper seating of the fuel pump as possible causes.

Thanks, Alex

anti freeze leak could be just CLAMP THAT NEEDS TO BE TIGHTENED 900s always have anti freeze leaks and usually it is a hose clamp. as far as your gas smell if the fuel pump has been replaced and the gasget was put in wrong you will get a smell usually in the trunk or under the rear drivers side of the car. otherwise check the small fuel line near your injectors it is shaped like a U 900s had trouble with that line and that could be a small leak you cant see but will smell of gas. good luck papa
