I don't agree with you. You're clutching a straw by mentioning the 1994 Saab
900 with a GM V6 to substantiate your argument that Saab took over in 1993. At that time, Saab used some GM engines, but GM didn't take over until much later. The 4-cyl 9000 continued without any GM parts all the way until 1998 when production was stopped.Besides, several car companies are using other manufacturers engines, that doesn't necessarily indicate a takeover. Saab have used engines in the past from Triumph and from Ford. Ford have used diesel engines from Peugeot, Peugeot are using Engines from Citroen (actually they're together). Ford have bought Volvo, Volvo have used Engines from Renault. The Delorean sports car also used a Renault engine and the Ssangyong Musso uses a Mercedes engine.
