Not so much interference as complete and total static nearly anytime the rear defrost light is lit. Turn on the car, radio on, rear defrost on, drive a minute or less, radio cuts out, hit defrost button, radio back on until such time as you hit the rear defrost button again.
Any ideas on how to removelate this issue?

Chances are you have an intermittent connection that is causing the interference. Check the grounding then the rest of the wiring.
Thank you, Stephen. Is checking the grounding something that a self- confessed technodope can manage, or does this look like a job for Superdealer?
