I recently had my new 2004 9-3 setup so that the headlamps were always on. (part of their "30 day check") This I then discovered had disabled the fog lamps. I then returned it to the local Saab dealer. The technician told me he couldn't get it setup so that the headlamps were on permanently and the fog lights to work. So he disabled the headlamp setting to get them to work, which they do now. Has anyone come across this problem? I can't believe that this wasn't tested before now!!! Thanks for any advice...

My 2004 Aero USA model has headlights always on and switchable fog lights. This is how my car came from the dealer. I believe all USA Saabs are set this way. Go back to your dealer!

Remembering of course that in the UK it is illegal to have fog lights on, except in certain conditions.
It's illegal to have Fog Lights and for then not to work. That will fail the MOT.
