Spammers still get reported for abuse

ahhh... I feel so much safer. Now could you just get all those similar messages to stop showing up in my email inbox?

Or a decent email provider - filtering at the server makes so much more sense than doing it by hand using something like mailwasher. 98% of all my email never reaches me. It's like the good old days, before spam.

In a small number of cases, those spam filters may have false positives.

MailWasher also blacklist following a number of keywords that you can enter. You then have the opportunity to visually scan the list before processing. Most of the time the list is correct so that it is just one click to process the entire list, but I feel more confident viewing the list beforehand.

That's what we do - we filter on a whole range of strings and patterns of strings, as well as using blacklists. Very effective, and our clients love it!

For the first several months, I went through my held email bucket to make sure nothing real got in there, but it got old after a while not finding any "ham" among the "spam", so I don't even bother anymore. But I'll go in from time to time to see what spam looks like these days, scan down the list, "select all", and "report and send to trash" the lot of them, 50 or 100 at a time. Beats doing it by hand, y'know?
