Sunroof closing problem

Hi all,

I have a 1992 900 SE Coupe with a sunroof problem. The problem only started recently and was noticed only because I started hearing wind noise coming from the sunroof. I looked at it and found that when closed there is a gap of about 3mm between the front seal and the edge of the roof. The rear of the sunroof seemed to be sitting about 2mm lower than the roof.

I recently had the car serviced and asked the mechanics to look at it. They said that there was no adjustment and it seems fine. I am not convinced.

Can anyone out there tell me if the sunroof can be adjusted to close 3mm further forward.

TIA

Peter Wallington.

I've sorted it out. There are 6 bolts that secure the glass panel to the sunroof 'chassis'. When you loosen these bolts you can move the sunroof up/down/forward/backward about 4mm.

Now go and tell your mechanic. If he does a lot of Saab work, he might get this complaint again.

Spread the wealth as it were.

Thanks for the advice. Did it the next day when I dropped in for some parts.
