Well, I think I have decided. It rather fate leant a hand.

Got back from the supermarket this lunch time, buying my next weeks dose of nicotine patches (Starting week two on mid strength, the start of week 6 without a smoke) and there parked up the street was a black 9000. Could just see it face on.

Looked great. As I got closer I saw a turbo badge (but anyone can fit one of them), and the three spoke aero wheels, and the leather interior And the CSE badge on the back, and the 136k on the clock, and an APC gauge.

If a black aero didn't come up soon, this would be the one. OK, it was crusted with dirt. The wheels were caked in brake dust, the was a rust spot where a paint blister had burst on the bonnet dead centre, but it looked fantastic. I so wanted that car, and to wash wax polish wax and take it out for a damned good thrashing.

Guess that decides it. No GM900 for me. Unless a a bargain low mileage C900 FPT convertable from 1994 turns up and the owner will take paypal, I guess the realworld everyday Saab for me is based on a CSE 9000 FPT. No question.

You won't be disappointed, I loved my 9000 FPT, BUT I had some really big bills and gave her up to get the C900 Aero I'd always wanted, never looked back.

Oh don't. An FPT C900 convertable is the care I always wanted, after having a C900 Aero. But a 9k is more practical on a day to day basis. But still, practical or not, a 900 Convertable is what I really really want, not what I really, really need.
