There's alot of play in the steering. I have to turn the steering wheel about 6 inches either way before the wheels turn. It just started about 3 weeks ago. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Steering's messed up?
Seriously - there's not much in there to break. It's a rack and tie rod ends and ball joints and the collum. Something's lose. Easy way to do this would be key on, engine off, and wiggle the wheel while watching the components. I'm betting it's between the steering wheel and the rack, or the rack tself...
