Watched a neat launch (in person and on TV) today of an Atlas rocket with a single solid rocket booster. Looked all lopsided, but it went like stink. They can configure this new Atlas to use 1, 2, or 4 of these solid boosters. Oh, and the new Atlas rocket engines? Made in Russia..... Jeff

Actually, what I meant was, where on KSC did you watch the Atlas launch? I assume they still launch Atlas out of LC36.

Aha, did not realize you lived in the area. Saw an Atlas launch once from the weather station there, if you look at a map of KSC, you will see that it is right next door to LC36. That was probably 20 years ago now, when we managed to get away from White Sands for a few weeks for a brief project there at KSC.
