Being Thankful

Among many things today I am thankful for sunshine and blue skies with the opportunity to drive a '53 Champion HT and a '67 Avanti II. Can you say "zoom, zoom?" bs

I'm thankfull for all my 'bakers but none will go on the road today.

The li'l ol' Honda will transport me to a canibalistic dinner (eating my own kind) so that I have plenty of energy to get the reassembled heads back on the '55 tomorrow. I want that thing running by Monday.

Enjoy the holiday!

(Somehow, celebtating Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter outside just doesn't seem right.) I am thankful that the next time you hear from me it should be via my new PC.

Anyone who, like me and all of you who are reading this, who is better off than 99% of the other world inhabitants, need not have to think of reasons to be thinkful.

I celebrated outside today by washing my car in my own driveway. That's a first right there. I was going to pull the car into the garage and do the inside, but the Corrado is in there with a dead battery :( Oh well, I'm still thankful for a heck of a lot, I just have a messy car.

I AM thankful for having lived and loved in the great USA. When I look around at what the rest of the world offers mankind, I shudder to think that we could someday suffer that kind of fate. I hope and pray that my family will also have this freedom to enjoy as they grow up and age with the same beauty and grace as I have. I am also very thankful for driving my 54 Studie. Bangin' gears in the Avanti powered beast with it Flowmasters waking the dead is quite satisfying. And, since I've had it since '71, I'm even more thankful.

I thaank Jeff for coming through (again) with computer info. My last class was for an IBM 300 (360?) in 1966 Now, I wish that the salesman had sold me one with a "stiffy" slot. (When the big floppies were on the way out this lady I knew called the new 3 1/2" ones "stiffies." I won't tell you my response.) I had mentioned that was how I was transferring my files.

Back to that well-know supplier in the morning.

Having also been to the other side of the world, I can say I am very thankful I live where I live, and my kids don't have to hit the bricks and beg from foreigners for money. And, I am thankful for my dad long ago giving at least two of his kids the Studebaker bug. Now, if only I could get more garage space...
