I just recently inherited an arc welder from an old friend that passed on. I have some experience welding and have a whole list of projects lined up, many of them related to my Studebaker. I also got a carbon arc torch that goes with the welder. I have no idea how to use it. Has anyone used one before? Are they useful?Any tips would be appreciated.

Haven't used one of those in years. You can braze copper, weld aluminum, and do some interesting stuff with one. Lincoln still offers it as an option on some of their stick welders...
