In this months Turning Wheels the question was asked about using a 57 Golden Hawk engine and trans in a very modified 54 Commander. I went along with everything but question the part about the rear end. He reccommended that the GH rear end be used as it was much stronger. Weren't they both 44 rear ends?

I'm not sure now. Until now I thought the first use of model 44 was in 1955 Presidents.
