Well, it's not a Studebaker, but I saw a 55 DeSoto for sale today - signs says it has a hemi, looked at the dash and it has a vertical shifter marked RND1 - hmm, a DeSoto-O-Matic?

Normal AT for Chrysler. Good unit. f1955 was the last year or the four speed hydromatic from GM so,the LAST YEAR for REAR OIL PUMP!!!
