OT College football

A newspaper mention of this season record of the Boston Collee football team being the best since 1942 brought to mind a strange and tragic tale.

Reading that reminds me of the 1924 Babb's School fire in Hobart, Oklahoma that killed 36. My grandmother was a 5th grade student at the school and my great-grandmother decided at the last minute to stay home from the Christmas pagent because my grandmother was running a fever. Had they gone they would have been killed in the fire.

I hear that this fire lead to the decision that all public buildings must have exit doors that open outward.
