I wouldn't compare the FJ to a Hummer at all. I suggest, if anyone is interested, to go to sites that rate and discuss in depth vehicles by what they can actually DO and how they are built, not what they look like, or what they cost. All I will say, is that I own two older Jeeps (88 Wagoneer Limited 4 litre Aisin-Warner auto 4sp+OD and 86 Commanche pickup V6 5speed) and as much as I love then for their many (sometimes funky) virtues as DD along the with ancient Corolla, if I was going to buy ANY new 4x4 it would be an FJ--in spite of its looks.
