Studebaker tin badge question

Oct 30, 2006 1 Replies

Are there any trivia experts out there? I have a tin badge about 2" in diameter, which shows a bunch of people holding hands, while circling an aerial view of the South Bend factory. In red around the edge of the badge, it says: 'Citizens for Studebaker Inc.' Any idea what this was about, and when? It must be a cry of support, for some reason. Thanks. KK

I have two guesses:

A) It was showing an effort to rally Studebaker out of receivership in the 1930's

B) It was some type of building dedication
