I've recently had a roundabout mishap (person in front went and stalled which I didnt see and you can guess the rest). Luckily not an insurance job but my nearside headlight in my S reg Ford Escort has moved.
I don't notice whilst driving at night, but the headlight is pointing more towards to centre of the road than it's supposed to, because there is more gap between it and the middle bottom of the bonnet than the other side, and it's outside edge is visible at the nearside of the car if you look close enough (so the left side of it is more forward than normal).
The inside plastic support that attatches it to the grill is broken making that a little lose too. The highlight itself is fine and not cracked.
Is it likely this will fail the MOT? If so, I'm assuming an adjustment wouldn't be free, and they'd have to bend some of the headlight metal supports back out a little to get it to sit exactly the same - or even replace the whole headlight unit for about £150+ which seems silly for a bit of broken plastic.
Is it in my interest to try to get this sorted before the MOT or just let them sort it all out?
