Actually, count your blessings. Jeffie 'n OCF are in the bulls eye for "high risk" for severe weather, a seldom used alert status used by the NWS.
In my 15+ years in the Austin area, I have only seen it go to "moderate risk" once...

Acu-weather is predicting up to 1.5 inches of rain tonight, with temperatures in the fifties over the weekend, for the Harrisburg area.

I am in Fl., this week, will be heading north next weekend, hoping to be totally transplanted NLT 15 April. As the FFC (Frugal F*&king Consumer, not to be confused with FFA) that I am it was cheaper to buy and refurbish a 1991 E-350 15 passenger van, a 28' race car enclosed trailer and 2 ea. 40' shipping containers than to use U-Haul, PODS, 2 Men and a Truck or any other commercial moving storage. My doctors are amazed by my determination and resourcefullness, I credit all to my Navy training, even my wife says she gives me a wide berth when I an on a "mission".

Shipping containers should be relatively cheap since 2/3 of 'em never return to the country of origin and are recycled. I remember a piece on TV a while back where some were being converted to "housing" on the west coast...
