Does anyone have the Subaru specification for the amount "acceptable" oil loss? I have had a rebuilt short block installed now for 5k (km). It needed about 1 litre of engine oil to top up. There is no blue fog out the tail pipe and nothing showing in the driveway as far as leaks. The motor started out tight and quiet, but now sounds more like a diesel, but much better with the oil topped up. It was down to the bottom hole on the stick when checked.
