Hello. Need help with a 2001 forester tail light assembly. I have removed 3 nuts in trunk but assembly seems to still be tight on the car. Is there some adhesive that is used or are there more screws attached to the body or something? Thanks.

If it is like the Jan 2002, then only the 3 screws hold it. There is also some sticky compound that may hold the light, just pull it out gently, it will stretch like melt cheese and make a mess on your hands
Have fun
Only if it's fairly warm. If you attempt to remove the lens assy. in the cold, you'll break things. Also, look carefully up toward the front; seems like I remember 4 nuts.
Use a large flat screwdriver or the like to carefully pry the lens away from the body recess it lives in. Start at inside top and work down a little at a time. If it's warm (~60F or better), and still tight, you haven't found all of the fasteners.
ByeBye! S.
