'88 JUSTY 2.8 L - 4WD

The ones I worked on were 3 cynlinder, transverse opposed in line engines.

Hmmm :) I don't know where I came up with that (2.8) figure. Actually, (according to my Owners Manual) it is a 3 cyl., 1.2 L, carburated, Model

I was gonna say... Man a Justy with a 2.8L engine would really fly. I don't think Subaru ever made an engine of that displacement, the closest would be the 3.0L SVX flat six and the 2.7L(?) XT6 flat six.

Subaru should really ressurect the Justy. Throw the old EJ22 in a tiny hatchback body with AWD and you've got a nice basic transportation vehicle. Sadly, I doubt Subaru would be up for that, they seem intent on cranking the content and price of the Subaru lineup (at least in the US) higher and higher.

I keep watching the 'Crude Oil' prices as they go up and down, and I'm convinced that we are only a refinery fire, (or a major terrorist attack on our Saudi 'friends') away from $60.00 a bbl crude oil.

If Americans could just get a taste of $5.00 a gallon gasoline, they would soon turn their backs on the 'gas-hogs' ... that is, if they could lose enough blubber to fit into a Justy :)
