I've got a 97' Legacy Outback with 60000 miles on it. In the past 6 months, the check engine light has come on 3 times. The error codes were P304 the first time and P302 & P304 the second and third time. I recently replaced the platinum spark plugs. Has anyone had a similar problem ? I do add a can of injector cleaner periodically.

The codes you mention are "cilinder number # (P30#) misfire detected" so your problem may be oil coming into the combustion chamber trough the rings or the oil retainers from the valves. I suggest to check your spark plugs when you have at least 300 miles driven with them, in order to verify the oil burning. Sorry for my English, but i live in Chile and my native language is Spanish
