The check engine light came on in my Forester. I got the diagnostic code, PO106- manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure circuit range/performance problem. The Subaru technical site had a bulletin concerning the air flow meter sensor.It stated that the element becomes contaminated with Silicon oil, Carbon and dust at the sensor base causing a malfunction. My question is, where is the air flow meter sensor located? Is this something I could access and clean? Any help would be appreciated. My state requires emission inspection and if the check engine light is not turned off it will not pass.
