Dash lights

Or, how many Subaru owners does it take to change lights in the dash cluster? According to Haynes, I must remove the cluster to replace the growing number of burned out lights in the cluster. Is this a tricky project? Any hints? If I disconnect the negative battery cable and wait one minute or more, can I really be confident that the air bag won't explode in my face?

Thanks,

Phil

True enough. What I left our: '94 Legacy 2 wheel drive wagon. Some of the dash lights appear to be burned out, cuz it's getting rather dark up there, especially on the left side.

don't worry about the airbags..if you were removing a fender or bumper or arc welding I would advise differently. I'm still not sure which bulbs you want to replace but her eare some helpful links. I use 12V 60 milliamp bulbs with wire tails available at radio shack, they last longer and you can wrap them to the little fixture the original bulbs are in or solder them right to the board.
