Detail job

My son had my 2000 Forester professionally detailed yesterday. It was an 8-hour job. It was a real detail, wax, interior all shampooed, all orifices cleaned with Q-tips, etc, etc. It looks and smells like a brand new car. It's so pretty that I don't want to drive it. I just want to go sit in it and feel like I'm sitting in a 2009 Forester. He did this as a birthday present. Best present I've ever got. Eddie

The detailer is fired...

We had to do this in 2 hours when I first started, then an hour and a half, and then 45 minutes. I told them No Way, they showed me the door. Thank God!

I was working with another guy who was like, whatever it takes is whatever it takes. Clean. If it took 8 hours, it took 8 hours, but it had to be CLEAN!

Sounds like you are a man with good work ethics. Good on 'ya! I have a friend who works for a local Mercedes dealer. He is a detailer. I'll ask him how long a detail job takes. I would imagine a Mercedes dealer would be very picky and demand a good job. I don't know who did mine, but it was not a Subaru dealer.

Too bad I'm a slob!

Back in my younger days I picked up a girl hitchiker, and she got in and said, I don't believe it! From the looks of this car on the outside I would have expected to be able to eat off the floor! (I don't throw trash out the window...)

But when I clean a car, i CLEAN it!
