Now that they don't have cassette decks and use an integrated sound system, it would be annoying if they aren't putting some kind aux line-in on the system.
Who wants to use a crappy FM transmitter.

Well AFAIK my 02 Forester doesn't have any capabilities for external audio, and I would assume that the factory head deck wouldn't either.

No they don't. That integtrated radio is one reason I would not buy a new version of the outback. It is ompossible to get a good stereo. Avoid the new model subarus. If the integrated radio sux as much as the OE one in my 04 outback youre screwed. The "audiophile" stereo in the ford 500 is quite good and you can get awd
give it time, some enterprising audio junkie with come up with a fix. Sound is important, particularly when you spend 3 hours a day in your car...but it isn't enough to turn me off of all the other benefits. Ford....been there, done that.....not nearly as reliable.

Arghh!
OK, what about MP3 CD-R's - surely it plays those, yes?
AFAIK, no. Just a stacker.

The new Tribeca will play MP3 CD's
