Forester heater

Feb 01, 2004 4 Replies

I have a 2000 Forester. When I'm traveling on the highway, the heater has plenty of hot air. But when I'm off the highway, the heater turns cool. This is something that has happened in the last couple of weeks.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Ed, I was a little low on coolant, which I added yesterday, so I think I need to purge the air.

How do I purge?

Eddie, I got the deal purged and added some more topped off the radiator and coolant reservoir. Now I have good heat. Thanks for your advice. You are the best.
