Forester Tyres Screeching

My 03 XS Forester's tyers screech when cornering at roundabouts even when traveling at very low speeds.

I test drove a 02 and never had this happen. First thought it was tyre presure could it be the car or tyres? Should this be checked by Subaru service depot?

Yokohama Geolanders I presume ? That would explain it, they do the same on my Outback - they have a very soft, squirmy tread pattern and sidewalls. What tyre pressures are you running ?

I have a 99 GT with Geolanders and find I have to push pretty hard to get them to complain... I do run pressures 2-3 lb higher than recommended.... the other thing to check would be wheel alignment.

My 03 XS started squeeling around corners when the weather got cold. Tire pressure had gone down a bit from its hot weather peak. Put it back up where it should be and problem went away. (Original Geolandar tires)
