I have a 1985 subaru wagon. I'm thinking of buying a rebuilt engine because I love this car. Is it worth it? If it is, where can I find the best deal for it. I need it shipped to Pocatello, Id. please help. Steve

A better deal might be a used engine from Japan. Here's what a google search turns up:

That or something from the junkyard. It shouldn't be too hard to find a used engine with under 100k miles.
Check your Thrifty Nickel or BuyLine; the best place I found is IN Idaho but up next to Spokane. Post Falls I believe but need to find and check my own Thrifty Nickel!
If you love it that's justification enough in my book! ;-)

I was really happy with the remanufactured engine I got from Colorado Component Rebuilders. They only rebuild Subaru and will ship any where. The shipped me a engine on a pallet, shipped back the old one as a core.
