Need a Part that's worth less than $5

Aug 19, 2003 4 Replies

I have a tan interior 2000 outback. I lost one of the sliding tabs on the hatch that keeps the little access doors closed.

I've tried the dealer and it is on a 'permanent back order'. In other words, I've been waiting months.

If anyone has an extra or knows where I can get one, I'll mail you cash and email you my address where you an mail me this part.

Tx.

I need one too. The little space where the jack is, the tab broke and it's held by velcro. Any ideas?

I lost the big washer that holds down the spare. Went to an auto salvage place, got the washer and replaced my cracked ashtray for $4. Ask a local wrench, not the dealer, for a good place.

Problem is that I'm in Canada and Subarus, Toyotas, Hondas etc. etc. don't make to scrap yards until there 20 years old.

In fact I've yet to see a Subaru at a scrap yard.

Again, if anyone finds this clip, I'll mail you cash....

I've found out that the part is worth $4.75 canadian. Is there anyone that could check their dealer for a tan part?

I'll mail you $20 for two of them.
