its an '03 imprezza outback and the fuses are fine. it squealed a bit and then ran now and again for a while. finally pooped out.

THis shows how to remove the glove box for filter access. The filter sits on top of the a/c coil so, the fan 'should' be nearby.

Maybe someone else will post with better info.

Try to take a vacuum cleaner of some type with you and carefully clean everything in there too.
