Apparently, the method I used to stop them in my 2007 Legacy doesn't work, they must have altered the routine. Thank you.

There are people who find it annoying to use the car to, for instance, drive down a 1/4 mile gravel drive, unseatbelted, to get their mail w'ever and listen to the chime.
