Subaru AWD or turbo problems?

I don't recall seeing this mentioned ever, on any Subaru board I monitor, which is encouraging. But I'm going to ask: does Subaru AWD ever need fixing? Can I expect something to wear out or break at some point? No, I'm not hard on cars. In this Forester we'll try "soft roading" at best. And I maintain my cars "by the book," or better. So, I'm not talking hard use or abuse. Just in normal, reasonable use, are the AWD components typically prone to wear and/or breakage, and need replacement?

How about Subaru turbos? Same kinds of questions. My first turbo, an '01 Volvo, at 42,000 miles, today just needed oil return seals. Can I expect something like this on the Forester XT?

Thanks.

My WRX is pushing 47,000. NO issues with Subaru function or reliability. I wouldn't worry atall about a modern turbo system.

Just don't let any Dealer or other "professional" mechanics touch anything that isn't already broken. They've dome more harm than good!

My '85 SAAB Turbo had 245,000 miles on the original turbo whne I quit driving it. Sadly, what I saved on turbo replacemnet, I more than spent on transmision and clutches... (Note to Self: Could ya get that damn thing out of the driveway, eh?)

I've got a '91 Legacy manual trans. with over 215,000 - no problems with the AWD, maintained by the book. Don't know how the auto tranny AWD clutch system holds up.

I also have a '02 WRX that's got 23,000 - no probs so far but it's not really many miles for a good comparison. The turbo is both oil and water cooled but maybe all manufacturers are now, I don't really know.
